  1. I really enjoyed the sun is also a star, but didn't think it was as good as everything everything. I found the sun is also a star a bit cringeworthy in the first 1/4, would a teenage boy really act like that? However, I do think one of the saving graces of the book was the constant shifts in perspective to characters that aren't integral to the story… on the other hand I did really enjoy it…. I'm going to have to make a video on my channel about it, my feelings are all over the place πŸ˜‚πŸ’œ

  2. I love how much discussion comes from reading The Hate U Give- she covers soooo many different subjects! I struggled with filming a review just because there is so much to talk about! I love what you said about the beauty of the neighborhood, so true! You are right, Nicola Yoon's books are very pretty especially that one. I didn't know that wasn't digital though wow! Have yet to read it but great video!

  3. I wasn't really a fan of The Sun Is Also A Star. I loved the diversity and themes, I just didn't like the love-at-first-sight plot. It just didn't seem realistic to me.

  4. Love the longer video length for YA book reviews =) I have the Hate U Give and the Girl From Everywhere on my shelves, and hope to read them soon. Really liked your overview of the Hate U Give and the significance around OwnVoices authors. Awesome video!

  5. I could hear you talk for hours. Honestly your opinion on books and the way you review them is amazing. I always read your recommendations and so far so good

  6. Almost started crying when you describing the "The Hate U Give" and I haven't read it but it just sounds so good and I'm so glad it exits

  7. I have The Hate U Give, I really need to crack on and read it. Sounds like it's jam packed with ideas and discussions. Wow the Nicola Yoon sounds great too. I'm amazed you read on your phone. I just can't. Great wrap up.

  8. As always, this video was lovely to watched πŸ™‚ And you definitely convince me to add "The Hate U Give" to my reading list!
And I red "Everything everything" by Nicola Yoon and I'm probably the only one who doesn't like, or at least I expected something better. But maybe this new one is the one ?!

Also, your recommandations and review are always good and I have always discovered books that I enjoyed, so thanks πŸ˜€

  9. Hello everyone, πŸ™‚
I'm actually creating a youtube channel dedicated to studies,
because of all the youtubers that talk about studies and that
    inspired me a lot
I will do videos in english and others in french,
please check it and give me your advices πŸ™‚
    Thanks a lot πŸ™‚

  10. I really enjoyed this video and it might be one of my favourite. That's not just because you're talking about YA (that I love) but the fact that you were so engaged and enthusiastic when talking about the books. Hope you'll do more kind of content like this one!

  11. i just finished the hate u give a few days ago, it was really good! definitely an important book for our current society, i think it will be remembered for a long time as well.

  12. Wow. Ik heb je net gevonden via je Roald Dahl video. Ik ben meteen geabonneerd! Volgens mij ga ik de komende dagen je video's verslinden! Bedankt voor deze leuke content. πŸ™‚

  13. I really reaally need to finally read The Hate U Give. Sounds like such a great, deep and thought-provoking read, I'm usually used to YA books being very easy and not filled with very deep topics, haha (the ones I read anyway)

  14. Seems like something is up with the captions, the timing is off on some, and some sentences don't seem to be there at all. Just FYI πŸ™‚

  15. I adored The Hate U Give! It's been one of my favourite books of the year so far πŸ˜€ I'm glad you loved it and the book is still doing so well!
