Hello, I am Renee LeClaire McNamara UNT Survivor Advocate. Hello, I’m UNT Police Chief Ed Reynolds. Hello, my name is Inya Baiye. I’m the Director of Equal Opportunity, ADA Coordinator and Title IX Coordinator. If you experience sexual misconduct, I will support you and provide every resource and option that is available to you. We expect every student will act in a manner that is respectful of everyone in our community. If you experience sexual misconduct, I will oversee the investigation of your complaint to determine if the code of student conduct was violated. We take all reports of sexual misconduct seriously and will treat you with great care and compassion. My department’s first priority is your safety and well-being. I want you to know that if you experience sexual misconduct, my officers will inform you of your rights, work diligently to conduct a thorough criminal investigation and will refer the case to the criminal district attorney for prosecution under criminal law. We will not tolerate any form of sexual misconduct in our community whether it is repeated unwanted sexual advances, stalking, violence between people in a relationship or sexual activity without consent. I can assist you with rescheduling your exams as you work through the situation, identify alternative housing for you if you wish to move and communicate with your professors on your behalf. My team will keep you informed at the status of our investigation and will answer any questions you have about the process and other options to resolve your complaint. I will treat you fairly and will hold students accountable when their behavior violates the expectations of the university for student conduct. At UNT, we will do everything we can to get you the help that you need. Your safety and well-being is of the utmost importance. We will take interim measures to ensure your safety such as barring an individual from the campus and providing you with information on protective orders.
