You’re a Texan. You want to have access
to your gold. And having your gold in Texas is better than having your gold in
Delaware or in New York. I’m Ed Moy. I served as the 38th director of the United States Mint from 2006 to 2011. Fort Knox was a place to store
government gold, and it was built as the most secure facility in the world at the time. The Texas Bullion Depository is available for Texas citizens to store their gold. We want the Texas Bullion Depository to be the modern-day version of Fort Knox. So having the state of Texas have their own depository and managed by your Treasury or the
state Comptroller’s office adds a whole level of transparency that you won’t get in the
private sector. And by having its own depository, Texas is setting a foundation
for future options available to its citizens.
